About Me
Hello, I'm Gill. I am a qualified reflexologist and full member of the Association of Reflexologists.
I have more than 20 years experience as a therapist and have worked with people of all ages, at home in my private practice and also in hospitals, hospices and homes for the elderly.
My original training was in music and for many years I worked as a clinical music therapist, supporting adults and children with developmental delay, communication difficulties or long term illness.
I find that the deep listening needed to be a musician is similar to "tuning in" to each new reflexology client that I meet, making the two strands of my working life surprisingly linked.
I fell in love with reflexology in the 1990’s when a friend recommended her reflexologist to me. I was travelling a lot for my work, and feeling quite run down.
Although I was initially a bit sceptical about what reflexology could do for me, I had to admit that it made me feel great!
After a few treatments,I found that I had more energy, was sleeping better and feeling more able to cope with life.
The icing on the cake was that I had been trying for quite a while to conceive, and although I can never know for sure that reflexology was the catalyst, 18 months later I was a mum!
Once my daughter started nursery, I couldn’t wait to train as a reflexologist myself. From day one I knew I’d made the right choice and loved every minute of my studies.
I continue to be fascinated by reflexology and feel so privileged to be able to play a part in helping people feel better.
